Project narrative

On September 14, 2019, a team of Chinese specialist medical professionals were welcomed to Barbados by the acting Health and Wellness Minister, Senator Hon. Kay McConney. This is the fourth group of doctors and nurses to assist the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) in Bridgetown as part of a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two countries in October, 2016. The team was sent by the Chongqing Municipal Health Commission, and they anticipate staying for a year. The team has experience in Anesthesiology, Nephrology, Orthopedics, Cardiovascular Intervention, Ultrasound, and Traditional Chinese Medicine. This team was the fourth batch of medical professionals and training provided by an October 2016 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). See projects ID #54835, #54834, #71321, and #54836 for projects on each of the medical batches. Additionally, Record ID#72188 captures the training provided through the agreement.
