Project narrative

On July 5, 2018, the Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Cheng Xueyuan, and China Machinery Engineering Corporation, which undertook the Faxianshi Village Primary School renovation project in Yatagampitiya, Sri Lanka (also called Faxianshi Village or Faxian Stone Village in Chinese), respectively donated 10 computers, sports facilities, sports shoes, etc. to the school, and awarded scholarships to students. The school is also known as the China-Sri Lanka Friendship Primary School in Yatagampitiya. On July 5, 2018, the school renovation project was undertaken by China Machinery Engineering Corporation and was completed (captured in Record ID#68943). The completion ceremony was held on the same day as the donation ceremony. Yatagampitiya is located about 50 kilometers southeast of Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka.
