On 13 May, 2005, president of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Jia Qinglin, attended a ceremony for the the official act of signing and exchanging notes for the Chinese donation to Cuba of 11 million yuan, which will be used to acquire to acquire x-ray equipment for customs controls.
