In 2008, Chinese Government committed $8.1 million to the Government of Uzbekistan for the rehabilitation of the pumping station "Kuy-Mazar" in Bukhara oblast (Kuy-Mazar Pumping Station Rehabilitation Project). This project is now complete.

Staff comments

Some sources indicated that this project was also supported by OPEC Fund for International Development. The Russian project title is Проект «Реабилитация насосной станции «Кую-Мазар» or Реабилитация насосных станций «Алат» и «Кую-Мазар» в Бухарской области.
