Project narrative

From October 9 to October 30, 2019, the bilateral "Seminar on Smart Government for Barbados" was held in Shenzhen. The seminar provided training on how to create "smart governments" which incorporate use of big data, artificial intelligence, and technology more broadly into governance. The representatives also visited various locations in China, including the robot manufacturer UBTECH. The Chinese Ministry of Commerce sponsored the seminar. Representatives from the following organizations attended: The Barbadian Ministries of Heath and Wellness and Finance and Economic Affairs, Barbados Community College, Caribbean Transit Solutions, Caribbean Dreams Publishing, Northpoint Consulting, SunIsle Technology Solutions, and Mottley Consulting Inc.
