On August 13, 2017, the Chinese Ambassador attended the opening ceremony of the "Great America China and the Beautiful Ulaanbaatar Orienteering Marathon," where there was a donation ceremony for Chinese sporting goods. The ambassador also presented awards to representative athletes. The value of the donation is unknown.
