Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

After 2009, China Development Bank (CDB) provided funds so that 15 employees of the State Savings Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan "Amonatbonk" could enter into Chinese universities to learn the Chinese language. By November 2019, 12 selected employees had graduated, while three employees, specialists at the Head Office of Bank, were studying at the International Education College of Shandong University of Jinan. The value of the education is unknown.

Staff comments

"Year uncertain" was selected because it is unknown exactly when this program began, only that it began "since 2009" and was active before November 2019. It appears that the 3 employees at Shandong University were agreed upon in 2014 (see pg. 36-37 of English half of "Amonatbonk 2014 Annual Report").
