Project narrative

On August 16, 2018, Chinese Government Scholarships were granted to 148 Pakistan students. All the expenses of studies, boarding, etc, for those students, would be borne by the Chinese government. The students would also be provided with stipends depending on their level of study by their host universities. Ambassador Yao Jing and Executive Director of Pakistan Higher Education Commission Ali, Assistant Minister of Inter-Provincial Liaison Department Hussein attended the August 16th award ceremony in Islamabad. The China Scholarship Council (CSC) was entrusted by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China (MOE), to oversee the enrollment and the administration of Chinese Government Scholarship programs, including the Chinese Government Scholarship. These students were given scholarships on the recommendations of the Ministry of Inter-provincial Coordination (IPC) and Higher Education Commission (HEC). The scholarship holders will continue their higher studies in a vast range of subjects like Computer Science and Technology, Business Administration, Finance, Physical Chemistry, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Broadcasting Communication, International Law, Journalism, and others, covering bachelor and masters programs, Ph.D. and advanced training programs at 289 designated Chinese universities.
