Project narrative

In 2017, the Chinese Government and the Government of Madagascar signed letters of exchange for a Sports Coaching Technical Cooperation Project for the provision of sporting equipment. The size of the grant commitment supporting this project is unknown. This project involved the deployment of 8 Chinese experts to Madagascar to train local athletes for 30 days and the deployment of 99 Malagasy athletes to China for 4 months of training in table tennis, swimming, weight lifting, badminton, and track and field. It also involved the provision of sporting equipment. The project officially commenced on April 28, 2018 and ended on or around February 27, 2019.
