Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On September 13, 2017, the Chinese Government and the Government of Bosnia-Herzegovina signed an exchange of notes, which committed RMB 38 million of grant funding for the provision of customs inspection equipment. RMB 30 million of the grant proceeds were drawn from an Economic and Technical Cooperation (ETCA) that the parties signed on the same day. The remaining RMB 8 million was drawn from an ETCA that the parties signed on September 17, 2015. The purpose of this project was to provide customs inspection equipment to the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina for use at international airports in BiH. It also involved training for the police officers who will operate the equipment and support for the maintenance of the equipment (see Record ID#73250). Nuctech Company Limited was the contractor responsible for implementation. The project was officially completed and handed over to the BiH Border Police on November 13, 2018.
