Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

In July 2016, sixteen students from the University of the West Indies' (UWI) Cave Hill Campus attended the 2016 Confucius Institute Summer Camp. The camp was planned and organized by the Confucius Institute at UWI and lasted three weeks. The event included visits to Beijing, Suzhou, and Shanghai and was hosted by the China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL). The camp also included students from two other Confucius Institutes associated with CUPL: Bangor University and University of Bucharest. While this was the first Confucius Institute summer camp attended by UWI students, it was the third hosted by CUPL overall.

To use source "Beyond the Economic: The Multiple Dimensions of Caribbean-China Relations," download PDF and find photos entitled "3Bs Summer Camp." It is assumed that the CUPL hosted summer camp is the same as that described in the "Annual Report to Council 2015/2016."
