Description

On 16 February 2012, the Sudan legislature ratified an government concessional loan (GCL) agreement between China Eximbank and the Government of Sudan for the the Water Equipment Acquisition Project. It is unclear when China Eximbank committed to financing this project. The face value and borrowing terms of this loan are unknown. This equipment was supposed to be delivered to the Kassala and Red Sea states. All other project details are unknown.

Additional details

The Arabic project title is حكومى بشأن مشروع امداد معدات مياه واليتى كسال والبحر االحم. Because the GCL was ratified in early 2012, the loan agreement itself was likely signed in 2011 or even earlier. Therefore, AidData codes the commitment year as 2011 and checks the Year Uncertain box for now. This project is separate from Project #56605. The former takes place in Kassala and Red Sea and the latter is in Gezira (or Al Jazirah).
