Description

On October 12, 2007, the Chinese Government and the Government of the Central African Republic (CAR) signed an economic and technical cooperation agreement (ETCA), which committed a $1.5 million general budgetary support grant to help the authorities in CAR address ‘pressing needs’. The Chinese Government transferred the $1.5 million grant to the Government of the Central African Republic on November 9, 2007.

Additional details

This general budget support grant is separate from the 1.9 billion CFA general budget support grant that was committed through a separate ETCA in January 2007 (see #56373).
