Project narrative

In August 2010, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce announced that China would grant 1 million USD (captured in Record ID#66219) and goods worth 20 million RMB (captured in Record ID#73293) for wildfire relief efforts in Russia. The goods included 2,000 gas masks, 4,000 gas mask canisters, 1,400 fire fighting suits, 900 sets of Air Breathing Apparatuses for fire fighters, 200 air tanks, 52 fire extinguishers, 40 units of fire extinguishing systems and 10 field service compressors. The aid left Beijing on August 20th. The materials arrived in Moscow on August 20, 2010.
