Project narrative

On June 3, 2010, the Chinese government signed the letter of exchange that will fund a feasibility study on Muse-Lashio Rail Road and prefeasibility study on Lashio-Mandalay-Kyaukyu Rail Road. The funding will come from a grant of 80 million RMB provided under an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement signed between China and Myanmar on December 20, 2009. The project is referred to as 缅甸铁路木姐—腊戌段可行性研究和腊戌—曼德勒—皎漂段预可行性研究 in Chinese.
