In 2013, China’s Ministry of Commerce and the Government of Nigeria signed a $1 million grant agreement for Phase 1 of Abuja Solar-Powered Traffic Control Signal Project. The project involved the installation of 266 solar-power traffic light at 74 traffic intersections in Abuja (Federal Capital Territory).
