Project narrative

In 2013, the Chinese Government and the Government of Eritrea signed a cooperation agreement related to a Drip Irrigation Demonstration Project. The face value of the grant that the Chinese Government committed for this project is unknown. The project involved the piloting of water-saving irrigation technologies on a 20 hectare plot of land. Xinjiang Tianye (Group) Co., Ltd. was the contractor responsible for implementation. The project commenced in December 2014 and ended on February 25, 2015.
