Project narrative

In 2003, the Chinese Government provided a $250,000 grant to the Government of the Republic of Vanuatu for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Building Construction Project. The purpose of this project was to construct a new office building for Vanuatu’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Port Vila. The fully furnished, air conditioned, two-story building was also meant to house Vanuatu’s Development Cooperation, La Franchophonie, and the External Trade Department. The building was officially opened on December 2, 2003.
