Project narrative

In 2007, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) donated $1.8 million USD to the South Kazakhstan Region (now known as the Turkestan Region). This donation, alongside a $4 million USD donation to the Kyzylorda Region (as captured by linked Record ID#73455), funded the construction of a railway, a community park, a school and library, and improvements to drinking water and power supply.
