On May 9, 2003, Victory Day, CNPC AktobeMunaiGas (CNPC AMG), a Kazakhstan-based subsidiary of China National Petroleum Corporation, set aside $63,700 USD to subscribe Kazakhstani veterans of World War II to newspapers and magazines. CNPC AMG was still spending that amount every year as of 2017. This project captures CNPC's purchase of subscriptions in 2008.
