Project narrative

On 22 August 2009, the Chinese Ambassador hosted a reception to congratulate 23 Samoan students who won scholarships to study in China. There were 18 students who won the Chinese Government Scholarship (see Record ID#70023), and the remaining 5 were sponsored through the China-Pacific Islands Forum regional scholarship program (captured in this Record ID#73681). The value of each scholarship is unknown.
