Project narrative

In late August 2006 after unusually heavy monsoon rains, Nepal experienced the worse floods and landslides in 40 years. On 4 September 2006, the Chinese government responded with a 750,000 NPR (about $10,000 USD) to the Red Cross Society of Nepal for disaster relief. The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) Financial Tracking Service captures this project in flow ID #40916.
