Project narrative

In 2005, the Government of China donated $135,347 to the World Health Organization for Indonesia to assess the damage to the health system in areas affected by the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami. The project aimed to "assess the extent of damage to the overall health system in the disaster-affected area through rapid assessments of the conditions of infrastructure, essential equipment, human resources needs, and other essential system components such as the disease surveillance system, the drug supplies, and distribution systems and health systems management." The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) Financial Tracking Service lists the project as flow ID #35247.
