Project narrative

In 2005, the Government of China donated $203,021 to the World Health Organization (WHO) to Indonesia for the re-establishment of the Health Information System in response to the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami. According to the WHO, the project aimed to "re-build the most essential components of the health information system and to re-establish the information network in Aceh and North Sumatra for disease surveillance, disease prevention and provision of health services and distribution of resources."
