Project narrative

On December 12, 2013, the Government of China granted the World Health Organization (WHO) USD$600,000 to provide assistance for health consequences of conflict-affected displaced Syrians and refugees. The aid was implemented in 2014 and intended to respond to civil unrest in Syria and contributed to the 2017 Syria regional refugee and resilience plan (3RP) for Lebanon (UN project code SRRP-14/MS/64862/122). 3RP requested USD$3.74bn for the implementation of its plan, but only USD$2.38bn was raised by member states in the usage year of 2014. The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) reported that China's contribution has been paid. This project is captured by UNOCHA flow #112873.
