Project narrative

On October 17, 2013, the Government of China granted the World Food Programme USD$2,000,000 to provide emergency food assistance to Syria. This assistance represents a part of the 2013 Syria Humanitarian Assistance Response Plan (SHARP), which requested USD$1.41bn from member states but raised USD$959.3m. The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) reported that China's contribution has been paid. This project is captured by UNOCHA flow #109943.
