Project narrative

On November 11, 2016, the Government of China granted the World Health Organization USD$500,000 to provide emergency humanitarian aid to Syria. This funding was dedicated to enhancing access to secondary health care, comprehensive obstetric care, and referral services across the country. The aid represents a part of the contributed to the 2016 Syria Humanitarian Response Plan (UN project code SYR-16/H/88477/122). The plan requested USD$3.19bn for the implementation of its plan, but only USD$1.75bn was raised by member states in the usage year of 2016. This project is captured by UNOCHA flow #151574.
