Project narrative

On November 4, 2016, the Government of China granted the World Health Organization USD$500,000 to provide emergency humanitarian aid to Syria. This funding was dedicated to enhancing trauma care management and surgical rehabilitation services. The aid represents a part of the contributed to the 2016 Syria Humanitarian Response Plan (UN project code SYR-16/H/88477/122). The plan requested USD$3.19bn for the implementation of its plan, but only USD$1.75bn was raised by member states in the usage year of 2016. This project is captured by UNOCHA flow #151573.
