Description

On March 1, 2017, the Government of China granted the World Health Organization (WHO) USD$250,000 to provide support for WHO's emergency operations in Syria. The aid represents a part of the contributed to the 2017 Syria Humanitarian Response Plan (UN project code SYR-17/H/100616/122). The plan requested USD$3.35bn for the implementation of its plan, but only USD$1.19bn was raised by member states in the usage year of 2017. This project is captured by UNOCHA flow #161344. On the same day, China provided another USD$250,000, listed as a separate transaction by the UNOCHA, to WHO for emergency operations in Syria (see project ID #73838).
