Project narrative

On August 23, 2017, the Government of China granted the World Food Programme (WFP) USD$1,000,000 to provide PRRO-SYCO-assistance to the population affected by unrest in Syria. The donation, according to a WFP report, was put toward green peas (content reference number CHA-C-00056-08).The aid represents a part of the contributed to the 2017 Syria Humanitarian Response Plan (UN project code SYR-17/H/100616/122). The plan requested USD$3.35bn for the implementation of its plan, but only USD$1.19bn was raised by member states in the usage year of 2017. This project is captured by UNOCHA flow #163691.
