Description

In 2002, the China’s Ministry of Commerce provided an RMB 66.33 million grant to the Government of Niger for the Zinder Water Supply Project. This project involved the construction of a 10.3 km network of water pipes to connect twelve boreholes, a 25 km water supply canal in the Zinder Region, a water treatment plant over an area of over 1,400 square meters, and a water tower with a capacity of 2,000 cubic meters. China Railway 20th Bureau Group Co., Ltd was the contractor responsible for implementation. Construction began on December 28, 2003, and the project was completed on June 24, 2005. This project was expanded in 2011 (captured in linked Project ID#30339).
