Chinese Government provides RMB 66.33 million grant for Zinder Water Supply Project (linked to #30339)

In 2002, the China’s Ministry of Commerce provided an RMB 66.33 million grant to the Government of Niger for the Zinder Water Supply Project (See: 中铁二十局集团承建尼日尔供水工程竣工). This project involved the construction of a 10.3 km network of water pipes to connect twelve boreholes, a 25 km water supply canal in the Zinder Region, a water treatment plant over an area of ​​over 1,400 square meters, and a water tower with a capacity of 2,000 cubic meters (See: La Chine débourse plus de six milliards de F CFA pour un projet d'alimentation en eau au Niger).China Railway 20th Bureau Group Co., Ltd was the contractor responsible for implementation (See: 心远路自宽 记全国劳动模范、二十局集团副总经济师李令选).
