Description

On February 19, 2004, the Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH, Ahmet Hadžipašić, met with the Chinese Ambassador to BiH, Li Shu Yan, to discuss the implementation of a Dobrinja Gymnasium Construction Project. They noted at the time that the Chinese Government had already committed RMB 20 million of grant funding for the project. However, as of 2006, the project had not yet entered implementation. Then, in 2007, it was announced that the Ministry of Science and Education of the Sarajevo Canton and the municipality of Novi Grad would fund the construction of the school and the Chinese Government would equip the school with modern IT equipment (see Project ID#85150). Construction of the project was expected to begin on November 13,2007. On November 2, 2010, the gymnasium was officially completed.
