Project narrative

On May 19, 2014, during the inauguration of the Confucius Institute at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (HUJ) (captured by linked Record ID#41409), Liu Yandong, the Vice Premier of China, on behalf of the Chinese Government, presented a donation of 3,000 Chinese language and cultural reading materials to the Confucius Institute at HUJ. She also promised to provide 100 positions at Chinese Bridge summer camp for Israeli students, and promised to provide 100 scholarships to Israeli students for study in China over the next five years (captured by linked Record ID#85313).
