Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

In November 2012, China sent a team of four military doctors to Ecuador to provide traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment to thousands of military and civilian patients. This is the 7th team of its kind to be sent by China. In November 2013, the group was awarded Ecuador's highest military honor for their work. This team's visit was the result of the International Agreement for Medical, Human and Professional Cooperation between the Ministries of National Defense of Ecuador and China(or "Convenio Internacional de Cooperación Médica, Humana y Profesional entre los ministerios de Defensa Nacional de Ecuador y China"), which was signed in 2009.
