On May 15, 2018, the Chinese Embassy in Djibouti and the People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) Type 636 hydrographic survey ship "Qian Weichang" (Chinese: 钱伟长) donated school supplies to Victory Elementary School (French: École privée victoire) in Balbala in Djibouti City.
