Project narrative

On March 17, 2021, China donated 500 tons of rice to Djibouti to aid in the country's campaign against food insecurity. The donation ceremony was held at the National Office for Refugee and Disaster Assistance (ONARS), in the presence of the Chinese Ambassador to Djibouti, Zhuo Ruisheng, the Djiboutian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, and the Minister of the Interior, Moumin Cheikh. The Chinese government donated more rice as food aid to Djibouti in 2022 (see Record ID #107695) and 2023 (see Record ID #106676).
