Description
On November 23, 2018, representatives from the Cameroonian government and Chinese embassy signed an exchange of letters providing Cameroon USD$2.9 million worth of supplies for humanitarian aid in areas affected by the secession-related armed conflict. The letters were signed by Chinese Ambassador to Cameroon Wang Yingwu, and Cameroonian Minister of Economy, Planning and Regional Development, Alamine Ousmane Mey. The aid was to assist in re-settling displaced persons. This agreement is not to be confused with projectID #85662, an August 2018 $3 million grant for humanitarian aid in the western region.
