Project narrative

On June 12, 2018, China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) donated disaster relief supplies to the Damerdjog Village Government in Djibouti. The donated supplies included 16,250 kilograms of rice, 13,000 kilograms of sugar, 3,250 liters of cooking oil, and 1,300 T-shirts. It did so after 650 households in the area were left homeless by storms. The monetary value of this donation is unknown. The donation was made in responded to Cyclone Sagar which hit Djibouti in May 2018 and affected thousands of people through heavy rains and ensuing floods.
