Project narrative

On September 12, 2019, the Chinese Government donated vehicles as a part of the Anti-Malaria Technical Assistance Project (Phase II) to Sao Tome and Principe's Ministry of Health. The handover ceremony took place on this day, with speeches given by Chinese Ambassador to Sao Tome and Principe Wang Wei and Sao Tome and Principe Health Minister Edgar Neves. Wang and Neves also signed the handover agreement on behalf of the two governments. This is part of an overarching effort backed by China to eliminate malaria in Sao Tome and Principe by 2025.
