Project narrative

On October 22, 2012, the Chinese Government donated medical equipment worth $25 million GYD to Guyana's Ministry of Public Health. The donated equipment was intended to benefit general surgery and other areas. It included an ultrasound machine, which was earmarked for use at Linden Hospital Complex (LHC). It also included equipment for the ophthalmology, orthopedics, gynecology, obstetrics, plastic surgery, and endocrinology departments at Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC), and other equipment for LHC and other Guyanese health institutions.
