Project narrative

On January 30, 2018, a handover ceremony of sewing supplies to the Women and Children’s Health Development Foundation took place in Conakry, Guinea. The donation took place under the “China-Africa People-to-People Friendship Action” or “中非民间友好行动” framework. The first lady of Guinea, who founded the organization, attended the ceremony along with the Chinese Ambassador to Guinea and the Minister of Social Action and Promotion of Women and Children, among others. China hopes to support the development of women’s undertakings in Guinea through this donation. The value of the donation is unknown. The Chinese government also provided on sewing and embroidery to Guinean women (captured in Record ID#86043).
