Project narrative

On June 24, 2016, ZTE Corporation and the African Union Commission (AUC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding a grant for the African Union Smart Health Center Project. The estimated value of the ZTE grant is $100,0000. The purpose of the project was to install an integrated electronic medical record system, a fully automated radiology unit, various laboratory auto-analyzers, a modern dental suite, and a first class ear/nose/throat facility at the AUC headquarters building in Addis Ababa. This project was undertaken in collaboration with the AU Medical and Health Services Directorate (MHSD). The Smart Health Center was officially inaugurated on October 26, 2017.
