Project narrative

On September 16, 2019, Ambassador Ma Jianchun and Gambia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Tangalle signed an exchange of letters at the embassy on the Chinese government’s aid to the security testing equipment project of Banjul International Airport in Gambia. The introduction of a modern baggage security inspection system for Banjul International Airport will support Gambia in hosting the 2022 Organization of Islamic Cooperation Summit, promotes tourism development, and improves the security level of passenger entry security.
