Project narrative

On December 18, 2018, Hohai University held the closing ceremony of the training course for 30 Guinean engineers for Guinea's Souapiti hydroelectric dams project. The training lasted for 18 months. On February 18, 2019, the Guinean Minister of Energy and Hydraulics met with the thirty engineers who returned from the training in China. The ceremony was attended by the CEO of Souapiti, and also by China International Water & Electric Corporation, the Chinese company in charge of the construction of the Souapiti hydroelectric dam. The training was initiated to train young Guineans within the framework of the Kaléta and Souapiti hydroelectric dams. An amount of $250,000 has been dedicated to this training.
