Project narrative

On December 17, 2019, the Chinese Embassy in Niger donated funds to support flood victims in the towns of Dogo and Kolleram in the Mirriah Department of the Zinder Region. The monetary value of this donation is unknown. The floods were caused by the rainy season. The flooding destroyed thousands of homes and affected tens of thousands of people. Chinese Ambassador to Niger Zhang Lijun had visited the disaster sites in the Zinder Region from December 5 to 7, 2019, prior to the donation.
