On August 24, 2019, the Chinese Embassy in Niger and China Gezhouba Group Company Ltd. (CGGC) donated a batch of municipal sanitation equipment to the Government of the Tillabéri Department. The donation was intended to improve public health and garbage transportation and disposal in the Tillabéri Department, in line with the "Tillabéri City Year 2019" organized by the Government of Niger.
