Description

On August 28, 2019, the 2019 Chinese Government Scholarship awardees International Student Pre-departure Reception was held at the Chinese embassy in Bijilo, Gambia. 40 students were awarded scholarships by the Chinese government to study in China. Out of these, 15 will pursue undergraduate degrees, 21 will pursue master's degrees, and 4 will pursue doctorate degrees. The majors chosen by these students vary widely and will contribute to Gambia's National Development Plan. A group of students has been awarded these scholarships each year since 2016.
