Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On February 4, 2019, President Julius Maada Bio announced that the Chinese government had provided grant funding to Sierra Leone's Ministry of Health and Sanitation for the construction and equipping of two government hospitals and five peripheral health units in the Western Area Rural and Urban. The new structures would be dedicated to cervical cancer screening and treatment. This project is linked to Record ID#86080, which records China's USD $2 million grant to the Sierra Leone Maternal Health and Cervical Cancer Prevention Project.
