Project narrative

On April 12, 2019, the Chinese International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), in partnership with the World Food Program (WFP), through the South-South Cooperation Assistance Fund, provided emergency food supplies to three African countries, including the Democratic Republic of Congo, South Sudan and Somalia. The launch ceremony for the emergency food program was held in Shanghai, China with representatives from CIDCA, China's Ministry of Commerce, Somalia's Diplomatic Mission to China, DRC's Diplomatic Mission to China, and representatives from the WFP in attendance.
