Project narrative

On June 21 2021, the Chinese Embassy in Sudan provided aid materials to the Sudan Acrobatic Troupe. Established in October 1971, the Sudan Acrobatic Troupe consisted of 50 children who were trained to learn Chinese acrobatics and folk music. They are the first acrobatics troupe in the Arab world and the African continent. The donation included facility upgrades such as a new door, re-painting of the acrobatics facility walls, new carpets, chairs, silk flowers. Other training and performance supplies donated included a erhu and other Chinese music performance equipment.
